The darker skin is high on our cheeks and in the same spot on all of us. Could the minerals cause thisA friend, her sister and I use mineral make-up and we all have areas on our faces that darken more in the sun.
that would depend on what brand you use. i've been using bare minerals for 5 years now, it has a spf 15, i never had that happen.A friend, her sister and I use mineral make-up and we all have areas on our faces that darken more in the sun.
Perhaps. Or, you can all not be putting anough sunscreen on...? I don't know.
It depends what brand you are using , some of them I have used and disliked the quality but I have also read many negative reviews about many of the mineral products that are advertised.

Youngblood mineral make-up ?
what do you think about young blood mineral make up Youngblood mineral make-up ?
I have never used it before. Who makes it?Youngblood mineral make-up ?
I personally have never used it, but it seems to be all the rave in beauty magazines, such as Elle, Cosmo, and Marie Claire...so it must be something good!
However, after viewing their website, it tends to be a bit pricey for my wallet!
if you go to a website that talks about it, then its your opinion about it.
it depends on you if you like it.
its goodeyebrows liner

Which mineral make-up?
Okay right now I'm using I.D. bare minerals but the price is getting too high for my budget right now. Have any suggestions for any mineral make-up that's cheap but works the same? Thanks
Which mineral make-up?
OMG, Do not use Bare Minerals.
I have to recommend Divine Minerals they are amazing, super cheap and all natural ingredients! Not tested on animals, eco friendly and again ALL NATURAL! If you havent heard of them check them out, they are the best! I have been a client for 1 year.
They are cheaper than Bare Escentuals and Affordable Mineral Makeup and so many more!
Divine Minerals is the cheapest brand right now for pure all natural mineral makeup! Do some research, check ingredients, and prices.
I have sensitive skin, acne, and rosecea, i find that Divine Minerals has good coverage, Natural Sunscreen, Lasts all day too!
Full 10 grams of foundation is $12! Last about 3-4 months! It is well worth the money!
1 Gram Eye Pigments $6
3 Grams Blush $6
10 Grams Veil $12
and more, Unbeatable!
Divine minerals has a large selection of products and you can order some samples to test the waters and see how it works for you first. Trying out brands first always works best! Plus Divine Minerals site has tons of resources on the site, and they are a signer of compact for safe cosmetics!
Check out the site and see what you think. I recommend them.
Good LuckWhich mineral make-up?
If you do go for a cheaper brand, there could be fillers like talc or cornstarch rather than pure minerals. You don't want to have those pore clogging ingredients on your skin. Also look out for Bismuth, this can irritate your skin. Always check the labels on those cheaper brands. Have you heard of Affordable Mineral Makeup鈩? It comes in 9 different sizes.

Mineral make-up and tinted moisturiser?
Difference between normal make-up%26lt;%26gt;normal make-up and tinted moisturiser%26lt;%26gt;normal moisturiser?
i have an oily nose so is there any point in me putting on moisturiser on it?Mineral make-up and tinted moisturiser?
Mineral make-up is make-up made with minerals in it like zinc, or crushed mother of pearl. It is generaly lighter than regular make-up and wont clog the pores which is good if you are prone to pimples or black heads.
Tinted moisturizer is simply moisturizer with a little bit of concealer/make-up in it, which means you do not need to wear concealer or foundation if you have it on. It simply helps skip a step, it's a 2-in-1.
Do you only have a oily nose or do you have pimples aswell?
Here are some combination options:
Pimples and oily nose: Use a tinted moisturizer (look for an oil-free one like Nivea or Philosophy) and a mineral powder over it.
Only a oily nose, no pimples: You can use a regular or tinted moisturizer with regular make-up powder over it
or
just use a mattifying or oil absorbing moisturiser (like the one Garnier makes in it's Pure A/Blue range) Then you dont need to use powder unless you want to.Mineral make-up and tinted moisturiser?
huh? I'm confused...

Mineral make up results?
so much avertising on mineral make up especially sheer cover, has anyone here tried it and what did you think. i'm not young (middle aged :)Mineral make up results?
I've used BE (Bare Essentuals/Bare Minerals) for... over a year now. I like it, and it works fabulous IF you apply it right and use the right shade.. if you use the wrong shade or don't apply it right with the right brushes.. it just doesn't work. And, I would never use the foundation without the mineral veil over top.. the foundation by itself doesn't seem to look smooth and polished until you put the veil on, then once you do it has a very matte coverage. My only qualm with BE is that it doesn't stay on very long.. it comes off fairly easy in water and with sweat or heat.. And, I would def recommend using a primer before applying BE.. it doesn't have to be from the same brand name, just something that you really like.
A positive I've found to the BE is that it helps with acne.. it doesn't ';treat'; it, but it reduces the amount of outbreaks and does less damage to your skin. And I have slept in it many times before... it needs to be touched up in the morning, but when I pull off my 3 or 4am mornings, it does the trick!Mineral make up results?

Mineral make up?
Is it really as good as the adverts say? I was going to try l'Oreal.. jus wondering if its any good? thank you xMineral make up?
I use the L'oreal Bare minerals and I love it! I have never hear talc causes cancer, but I have heard it can irritate the skin. I have had no such instance with it and I think its great! Its a great sheer coverage and it makes my skin glow. If nothing else go to Walgreen's and buy some of it, if you don't like it return it (just keep your receipt) I found out recently they take back open makeup all the time.Mineral make up?
i use arbonne and that is the best, and it does not clog your pour's.i have been using it now for 2 year's now and i really love it.that is the only thing i use,and it is a mineral powder,it may cost you around 50 buck's for a .28 ounce but it sure is worth it.
Don't get L'oreal Mineral Makeup because it has talc in it. Talc can cause cancer.
Use everyday minerals.
I used Bare Minerals and did not like it. It did not work like the infomercial claims.

Mineral make-up?
What is the best mineral make-up available? I'm interested in trying some, I'm just not sure if I want to spend $60 on products I'm not sure about.Mineral make-up?
Liquid Powder Mineral Foundation from bee luscious! It's the best because they don't put in bismuth or oil. It stays on at least 12 hours or more. I use all of their makeup and love it.

i like neutrogenas mineral sheers. but im not sure if u wanna go to a drug store, but u can save a lot
I love Bare Minerals. It is a great foundation and I have sensitive skin and have used it too four about 4 years. It is under your price range and you will get great results!
She's so right, You dont have to spend a fortune or join a club to get mineral foundations. there's pretty much no difference in them. These on tv fail to mention that one of their ';all natual ingredients'; is bismuth. Yes, the stuff Pepto Bismol is made out of. It will eventually probably irritate your skin.
I found some on e-bay , smokeymountainminerals that has no bismuth. You can get larger sizes too. it 's better to know what color you need for sure. I found that to be sure, get 2. One that I think Is like my skin tone %26amp; one that's maybe a little darker. If you kinda look medium to tan, like me,get both. winter, mix less tan, summer mix less medium.
I hope I didnt get you ';mixed ';( hahah ) too much!!
I didn't want to spend a lot of money on it either but I wanted to try it. So I spent $7.99 on the Avon one and I really like it alot. I just use that nothing else and it really makes my skin look smooth.
I tried Bare Esscentuals, which a lot of people prefer, but I don't recommend it. It looks awesome when you put it on, but some people (myself included) are highly sensitive to an ingredient in it called Bismuth Oxychloride, which made my skin break out worse than it ever has in my whole life, and my skin isn't that good to begin with. Definately steer clear of any brand with that ingredient in it, since it isn't even worth the agony of finding out if you're allergic to it. Since then I tried numerous brands and finally found one I LOVE, everyday minerals (everydayminerals.com). You can buy full-sized products, but they also have a sample kit that you can pick where you get to try 3 mineral foundations, a concealer, a face color, and blush, absolutely free! All you pay is shipping and handling. That way you can figure out what shade works for you, and how to mix and blend your custom colors if necessary. After that you can buy a 6-pics kit for only $32, and they have specials all the time where you can enter a coupon code for a certain percentage off and it adds on free products if your order is still $30 or more.
i love mineral makeup
micabella is wat i use
just make sure it doesnt have an expiration date bcuz then its not mineral makeup
you really don't need to spend the money. some drugstore brands make it, almay does, it works pretty well, but i prefer ordinary makeup. clinique is the best for face stuff like foundation and blush.
I use Bare Minerals make-up from Bare Escentuals.. it's really good and you don't have to use a lot at all.. and it's only about $45 every 2 months..it's really good for sensitive skin, oily skin, and even acne prone skin...and it's all natural make up that you don't even have to take it off before you go to sleep.. it's just vitamins for your face....I love it.. here's the website just in case you want to check it out... www.BareEscentuals.com
Buy some clinique it doesnt clog pores, and my dermatologits recommended it, it wont clod your pores!
I sell 100% natural mineral makeup through my internet shop. The best part is that you can buy samples of the product for just $2.00. You can try a variety of products and not feel like you're wasting your money. We also sell all the brushes and many other natural products for very reasonable prices. Shipping is also very reasonable - just 10% of your order. So for a $20 order you could try 10 different products and only pay $2.00 for shipping.

Mineral Make-up at Shoppers?
I live in Canada, so I was wondering if either at IDA or Shoppers drug mart they sold mineral makeup.
If so, what is the brand and price?Mineral Make-up at Shoppers?
i am not sure about canada but many big makeup companies are cashing in on ';Bareminerals'; and putting out mineral makeup at stores. Loreal makes one, neutragena, Physicians formula, and cover girl. Personally, i think Bare Minerals is the BEST and it does not cost that much more. I love mineral makeup. It is natural looking, better for the skin, and doesn't look all caked on. Make sure you get a mineral FOUNDATION. Then you can use a mineral veil (or powder) for a soft finish.Mineral Make-up at Shoppers?
try physicians formula mineral wear. its about $10 is the us.eyebrows liner

Avon mineral make-up, has anyone else tried it and liked it?
I tried avon's mineral make-up in ivory and I did not like it at all it made me look paler than I am and was pasty and didn't stay on well at all it was not at all long wearing for me.Has anyone else had these same results?Avon mineral make-up, has anyone else tried it and liked it?
I am an Avon rep. I have yet to try it myself. It sure is hard trying new makeup isnt it? My suggestion is too give it back to the avon rep. I have people send stuff back all the time it is no biggie! Anyway, ask the rep. for samples of makeup so you know what looks and works for you. I purchased alot of samples of foundation for my customers more than any other samples. The reason is because this is the number 1 concern in makeup---finding the right one for you. I also try different shades. Good Luck!Avon mineral make-up, has anyone else tried it and liked it?
be-careful!
Sounds like you got the wrong shade! If you don't like it let your avon rep know and you can send it back. No questions asked. Make sure you are applying the right amount (once you get the right shade that is). Have a great one!
I didn't like it either.
I like the new cover girl mineral stuff. It doesn't really cover well, but it is better than Avon.
I didn't like it but I like Jordana brands,Revlon %26amp; cover girl.
Try the ';Anew'; product line they are now carrying (was advertised to buy on t.v.)..they are wonderful..the surgical eyelift REALLY works!!! They have Anew foundation also...many different shades and from what I've tried, it does have long wear.
Have not tried it, but the ingredients include methylparaben, an ingredient linked to cancer and allergies. Don't use it!

Could i be alergic to id bare mineral make up? help me! my face is itching!?
i just tried my new bare id mineral make up. i applied it just like the instructions said but after i applied it my face got little red spots and now it is itching! my sisters say bare minerals are awesome. they've used it for years and never have had a problem! could i be alergic to id bare minerals make up? or is it the new brush i'm using? the brush came with the bare mineral make up.....Could i be alergic to id bare mineral make up? help me! my face is itching!?
Oh no.
Okay read this, it is IMPORTANT.
There is an ingrediant in Bare Minerals called bismuth oxychloride. Check it if you don't believe me.
I used Bare Minerals a few months ago for the first time, loved how it looked, and after about a week I noticed a huge reaction to it.
I had broken out all over my cheeks!!! Badly! I stopped using it right away and months later, my skin has NOT cleared up. It has changed my skin. I hate it so much. I WISH more than anything I could go back in time and NEVER have used the damn thing.
STOP USING IT NOW!Could i be alergic to id bare mineral make up? help me! my face is itching!?
Oh yea, You could be very alergic to anything in that product.
If I were you I'd deffinetly stop using bare minerals! Then i'd go see my doctor about the alergic reaction so she could prescribe me something to repair any damages and help me to prevent it from happening again(:
i doubt you are allergic to it. check the brush content because you can't be allergic to those minerals. i have sensitive skin but it never did that. also it depends what your face wash is.
Yes! Those bare minerals are a rip off. my sister works in cosmetology and she got an AWFUL reaction from them and she says their prouducts are a joke. Then she put some on me and I dont have sensitive skin at all and then I got itchy too!
You are more than likely allergic if you are getting irritation. It is probably an ingredient in the mineral makeup.
yes u maybe u may want to use alcohol to take it off
u should c a doctor.
Oh no.

Does that mineral make up really work?
and whats the name (the one thats always advertised)Does that mineral make up really work?
Mineral Make up works great. I use Physicians formula. Its the best make up I have ever used and it helped my acne.Does that mineral make up really work?
Were you thinking of bare minerals?
It actually does work well, and no liquid foundation is needed.
However, if you don't want to spend the extra cash to splurge on Bare Minerals, you could always try a cheaper mineral foundation. Cover Girl, etc now offer mineral powder.
I don't really like it. I bought the whole package thingy and tried it at home. Either I am not doing it right or it just doesn't cover up. Maybe it works different for other people I don't know
Its ok....i find it really sticks to the hair on my face tho, it doesnt look as natural as they say
omg i love that stuff!
i use that everyday and it works great!!!!!

Best inexpensive mineral make up?
So I've never used mineral make up, but I want to give it a go. My skin is fairly normal, with a few spots and occasionally dry. Can anyone tell me which is the best inexpensive mineral make up to use, that can be bought from stores in Australia? If you need any extra info just let me know :)Best inexpensive mineral make up?
I've been using the Physicians Formula Mineral Wear for about 6 months now, and I really like it. It's pretty cheap compared to lots of other mineral brands. My skin is combination and acne prone, and I haven't had a problem with it.Best inexpensive mineral make up?
for drugstore brands i really like the maybelline mineral powder...
however i will always stick to bare minerals!!
new to mineral makeup? why don't you try everydayminerals.com? they send out free samples and all you have to do is pay for shipping.. not sure if they ship to australia though..
You can use M.a.c if your willing to spend quite abit,
but if your loooking for something inexpensive i would say maybelline mineral make-up. it is really cheap and I'm sure it should be in australia
The Body Shop the stuff in its good for your skin unlike some other drugstore mineral make-up

Anyone use the mineral make up yet? I want to buy some, but don't want to order off QVC or whatever! Thanks!
no i have never tried it...i just use revlon %26amp; that works pretty goodAnyone use the mineral make up yet? I want to buy some, but don't want to order off QVC or whatever! Thanks!
Just be wary because most of them have bismuth and oils. These can damage your skin and clog your pores. I will give you the link to the one I use. It has no fillers or oils to clog you. Plus it stays on all day and feels great, like you are wearing nothing.

Has anyone ever used Bare Mineral Make-up?
How good is the coverage, does it blend in your skin as well as your scars and blemishes for an visibly even complexion? You know its kind of pricey to you get what you think your getting. ThanksHas anyone ever used Bare Mineral Make-up?
I use bare minerals. I have a lot of freckles and very rosy cheeks...too rosy for me. I use bare minerals to give my skin an even tone and it reduces the intensity of my freckles. It blended very well on my skin.
Just be sure to moisturize before with a very light moisturizer. This will keep the make up from building up too much on the surface giving your skin a very smooth look. The make up will also last longer.
When I wear it I can never even feel it!!! It wont clog your pores. I would recommend visiting their website. Maybe they can send you a sample before you spend the %26amp;20? The following link is a link for a free sample. It was posted on May 3rd.
Good Luck! Stay beautiful!Has anyone ever used Bare Mineral Make-up?
i have it and its cool
like your skin looks better and everything
it feels smooth and it last all day
the bad thing about it is
that its pricey for a lil bit
and it can get really messy if you dont know how to work it
lol if you get it you will know what i mean
i used to use it and i loved it because it didnt look like i was wearing a lot of make up and it made me look natural but it doesnt cover acne that well.
actually me and my mom share a collection of it and it is really good it doesnt make you brake out or any thing and yes it may be pricey but beuaty is worth it
My sister buys it all the time and i love it im always steeling it from her :p It is totally worth the price
my wife complains about this brand all the friking time ! now she gets mac she said it's better who the hell knows !
i used it and hated it, ill never use again..i had like zero coverage...it was awful
I use it once and I didn't like it at all.

I love it! I am so happy I finally found a great mineral makeup and it doesn't cost a fortune!Which mineral make up is better - Bare Essensuals or Sheer Cover?
I have used both and I absolutely love Bare Essensuals over Sheer Cover-I actually ended up throwing the Sheer Cover stuff away.Which mineral make up is better - Bare Essensuals or Sheer Cover?
Ive not tried Sheer Cover, but I have used Bare Escentuals for years %26amp; do like the coverage %26amp; finish. I've found, however, that something in the ingredients makes my skin itch %26amp; burn a bit when Its hot %26amp; I break a sweat! Because of this, I've had to try some other brands %26amp; have actually found an EXCELLENT Mineral line that I buy thru Ebay from a seller called ';mineral*pure*makeup';. I feel their product is superior to bare Escentuals, as well as many of the other Mineral cosmetics available. They have a website as well that I think you can order from...

I like bare minerals, but I have never used the other, it seems just like a cheaper version of bare minerals though
Bare Essensuals hands down!
There is a web link called infomercial scams, and Sheer Cover is in it and Bare Minerals about the extensive amount of people getting break outs due to these products. My personal experience is the same BAD,BAD,BAD I broke out and was itchy and the coverage never lasted. Finally I found Bee Luscious Cosmetics and thank GOD I found them. It is truly THE BEST product to ever hit the market ...its incredible check it out for yourself..

L'oreal mineral make-up?
Any advice on how to choose what colour to go for.
I have the same sort of skintone as kate moss. I have brown hair and hazel eyes.
Any other tips to do with this make.up?L'oreal mineral make-up?
just go to boots and test it...i love this stuff its really really good...

Mineral makeup is best, it's very natural, has awesome wear-ability, is non-cosmogenic, and is oil free, but please think twice before using Bare Minerals (aka Bare Escentuals) OR Sheer Cover! These products contain bismuth which is NOT a healthy mineral and NOT at all recommended for sensitive skin! It resembles arsenic!!! I used this makeup not knowing this fact and it caused me a very bad allergic reaction including intense itch, large blotchy patches of redness, and break outs! After that i looked into LAMinerals but didn't go with them since they put silk powder (killing the animals that make the silk) and other weird ingredients like magnesium, and calcium into their makeup... Common sense told me the more ingredients, the higher the risk of blocked pores, break outs, and allergic reactions...
I then found this makeup and have been using it for 2 years now! It's wonderful! They have 17 foundation colors (way more then the competitors!) and 5 different finishing powders, choose the one for you skin type! Plus they have over 45 eye shadows! It really works well! Plus they are also MUCH cheaper then the 'big' name companies, and they're cruelty free and totally VEGAN (animal by-product free)!
They offer free shipping to the Continental US!

You know i love that L'oreal mineral make up.For the price it is the by far one of the best.Go for a light beige. Now the company has launched cheek color in the same line.Ihave'nt tried the new product but I am going to.I find it takes a few minutes to ';sink'; into your skin but once it does it gives a light yet almost luminous glow to your skin.Dont put a lot at one time apply sparingly in layers and wok it lightly in to your face.I have recommended it to many friends, and it is mudh better in my opinion than more expensive brands.I just hope they dont take it of the market for some reason.
I WOULD US LIGHT TO MEDIUM THATS WHAT I USE AND MOST PEOPLE HAVE THE SOME SKIN TON BUT I LOVE THAT MAKE UP BUT IF U TAN AND YOUR A LITTLE DARKER GO WITH MEDIUM.

Mineral make up users?
What do you think? How does the coverage compare to a cream foundation? Does the makeup last all day? I had a visit with my Mary Kay rep. last night and she showed me the mineral make up that will be coming out and I tried it and thought it looked nice but seeing that I put it on at night, I didn't get a chance to see how long the coverage lasted.Mineral make up users?
It does last all day. When you apply the foundation, use several ';dustings'; to get the level of coverage you want. It's great for large pores, oily or sensitive skin. (I have all 3.) I like the Larenim brand. They even helped me match my foundation color via email. Mineral makeup doesn't break me out %26amp; it feels much lighter on my face than any cream foundation does.Mineral make up users?
Sorry but I don't use foundation never have and I don't think I ever will because I don't need it, so if it ain't broke don't fix it.
I've used bare minerals for about a year and although I didn't like it at first because I was used to having a face that looked ';made up';, I continued using it and found that it lasts much longer and still looks like it did when you first put it on at the end of the day, if I apply more during the day, it doesn't look cakey, and the coverage depends on how much you apply and what brush you use, for my dark circles, I just use a concealer brush and keep applying until they have disappeared. Plus, it doesn't look like I am wearing more make up under my eyes than the rest of my face. I would highly recommend mineral make up. (although I don't particularly care for mary kay)
The mineral makeup lasts a very long time. It doesn't come off unless you purposely try to. I LOVE mine!
I didn't think mineral make up could cover as well as cream foundation but I constantly get compliments when I wear it. People say my skin looks flawless.
Go with a nice brand though. I tried a store version and it was horrible.
I use Aromaleigh mineral makeup (www.aromaleigh.com) and I LOVE it! The coverage is great, and it's buildable -- apply a single layer for sheer coverage, or multiple layers for more coverage. Most mineral brands also offer some sort of concealor for spot treatments. IMO mineral makeup gives you a much more natural look than liquid, yet if you apply it right it can still give you nice coverage. Since I've started wearing Aromaleigh, people have told me that it looks like I'm not even wearing any makeup and that I have naturally perfect skin -- little do they know that under the makeup, I have mild acne, oily skin, a permanent pink flush in my nose/cheeks/chin, and dark circles under my eyes! :)
As far as lasting, with my super oily skin, Aromaleigh's foundation by itself does not last long. However, when I use their Porcelaine Primer Powder underneath my foundation, then it lasts all day! I just make sure to touch up with blotting sheets during the day.
However I haven't tried Mary Kay so I don't know how their coverage compares. You are certainly welcome to try MK, but if you don't like it, there are tons of other brands out there! Just do a Google search for ';mineral makeup'; and you will find TONS of options!
Just be careful of inexpensive mineral makeup (I'm not sure if MK will fall in this category or not) -- many of them just add minerals to the same ingredients they use in traditional makeup, which negates the health benefits of using minerals! So read the ingredients and make sure you stick to makeup made of pure minerals!
Another thing to consider is that many girls are allergic to bismuth oxychloride (common symptoms are redness and itching). I'm not sure if MK contains it, but other popular brands like Bare Essentials do. So if you have any problems, check the ingredients and try another brand without bismuth if necessary!
Good luck and I hope you find something you like!
Ok, you should not buy mark kay at all. If you want mineral makeup, buy bare minerals. If you apply it over moisturizer rubbed in very good, you will have flawless coverage that lasts all day. Also, it is so light you can sleep in it. I have been using bare minerals for two years. Good luck!
mineral makeup is one of the best and healthiest makeup coverage around. It doesnt make you break out, but may i suggest bare minerals. It doesnt clog pores, breakouts, and has a nice light feeling to it. You can go to sephora or ulta for the starter kit. its $60 comes with brushes,3 mineral shades, and a dvd to show you how to apply. Its quicker, easier and more healthier for your skin. Me personally, i used to use liquid and i would break out, get little bumps, and blackheads like crazy. Now i use mineral makeup and my face looks and feels soooo much better. I am never going back to liquid. hope i helped girl!
I have to agree with all the Bare Minerals fans. It is so lightweight but coverage is great. You can control the coverage with the type of brush and how many layers you apply. I hated liquid and cream foundation, always felt greasy and oily. I get a lot of compliments on my complexion when I use it. Mary Kaye products are good too. I am waiting to try the mineral makeup when they come out with it.eyebrows liner

Has anyone tried bare mineral make up? did it really do wonders for your skin? does it improve ur skin too?
i think it will depend on the person. I have it and i love it. I think it covers really good. I rarely get pimples now. I feel like liquid always caked on. I admit though it does suck in the summer because it comes off easily with water or sweat! i try not to use much makeup in the summer though.
If you're thinkin about getting it i would suggest going to one of the bare essential stores and having them do your makeup. See if you like it and find your color. otherwise you're wasting money of the starter kit which you only use 1/2 of because the other color doesn't match yours!Has anyone tried bare mineral make up? did it really do wonders for your skin? does it improve ur skin too?
Well, here's some new information having used Bare Minerals, myself. It is too expensive and I could never get quite the right color. I have also used just about every other mineral foundation out there. Bella Rose by Serious Skin Care sold on HSN works best for me. It is a much better value because you get about 40% more product which lasts a lot longer. Give it a try. You have a 30 day money-back guarantee so you have nothing to lose. Good luck !!!!Has anyone tried bare mineral make up? did it really do wonders for your skin? does it improve ur skin too?
Yes! and now they have a blemish repair product that you brush on. It sounds good. It's great not to put pore clogging liquid foundation on your skin.
I wouldn't say it worked wonders. It is pretty good, it covers well. It is harder to put on than liquid or pressed powder, you have to get used to it. It is easy to put on too much at first.
I have tried this brand and many others. All I can tell you is that you should not be fooled by the commercials. BE contains an element called Bismuth. This element causes itching and could irritate skin. The commercials never tell you that, but read the reviews and you see how many people have allergies to this product. Try a pure mineral like Everyday Minerals at everydayminerals.com. This company never advertises but the products are pure and about 1/5 of the price of BE.
Yes, I think it is great.
I don't know if it improve my skin but I feel good wearing it.
haha ive tried it and i hated it. i used to live with my aunt and she had the hole thing, the foundation and ALL of the eyeshadows. the eyeshadows arent that great because they come out lighter than usual so you have to use alot if you want that darker look. overall i hated it, the foundation didnt cover ****. and plus, that crap is expensive
i was super doubtful on all these hype about the bare minerals i finally decided to order it.and I am super happy with it....it does improve ur skin and is super natural I luv the mineral veil I have oily skin and that does wonders i luv bare minerals...=)
YES! so i tried fake bare minerals like loreals mineral wear. that made me break out and now i only use bare minerals and i have no breakouts at all. i love it.

i was super doubtful on all these hype about the bare minerals i finally decided to order it.and I am super happy with it....it does improve ur skin and is super natural I luv the mineral veil I have oily skin and that does wonders i luv bare minerals...=)
YES! so i tried fake bare minerals like loreals mineral wear. that made me break out and now i only use bare minerals and i have no breakouts at all. i love it.
Has anyone tried Sheercover mineral make-up? did you like it?
i mean this sheercover:
http://www.sheercover.com/Has anyone tried Sheercover mineral make-up? did you like it?
I have use it but I don't like it just a gives a light coverage on your skin
also the face brushes they send are very crappy is not worth your time %26amp; you money Bare mineral works excellent compare to sheer cover you should try it gives a nice full coverage on you skin very flawless look.Has anyone tried Sheercover mineral make-up? did you like it?
Sheer Cover the identical to Bare Minerals and both are the single worst products you can expose your skin to. Both are high in bismuth oxychloride a form of arsenic lead that clogs pores and creates horrible breakouts and irritation also associated with rosacea. Both products are truly products to STAY AWAY FROM!
Yes I have tried it and it is the same as bare minerals. I found it hard to use because I am african american and they don't have anything that matched my skin color so back to bare minerals for me. Good luck.

Bare mineral make up?
I'm 15 and I'm looking to try bare mineral makeup! Which means it's pure enough to sleep in and its cruelty free? Right? I've been saving up for a while now and I live in Canada, Vancouver, does anyone know any stores around here? If not where can I find nice ones online? All answers appreciated!Bare mineral make up?
Bare Minerals is great makeup. The ingredients in the makeup are all natural and they don't contain harsh chemicals or ingredients that can be harmful to the skin. And I love that Bare Minerals does not test it's products on animals, I am very big on buying products that are not tested on animals. You can purchase Bare Minerals on the Sephora website (www.sephora.com) or the Bare Escentuals website (www.bareescentuals.com).
Here is the link from the Sephora website so you can check out Bare Minerals:

Good Luck, I hope this information helped *_*Bare mineral make up?
I use bare minerals and I absolutely love it. I do not know if it is pure enough to sleep in though. I don't trust the make up enough to ruin my skin by sleeping in it. During the day it gives me a flawless look and every night I simply wash my face (no make up remover involved) Any sephora near you would sell the bare minerals. I strongly recommend you use bare minerals. It is so light it feels like you aren't wearing anything but it looks beautiful.
There is no such thing as makeup pure enough to sleep in. IT is a load of crap. (i have been working in the beauty industry for 10 yrs)
If you want cruelty free, look on the peta website and it has a list of companys that do and don't do animal testing.
Mary kay has a great mineral foundation and do not test on animals, it costs less than bare minerals/.
Good luck
just go on bare minerals.com and see if they can deliver where you live and they have really good costumer service. i have bare minerals and it works very good you can't even tell i have on makeup and I'm 15 too.
youre so lucky to live in canada!!
thats like the mac cosmetics capital of the world!
so try mac!
If you're in Canada, I'd check out Cover Fx. The minerals used are more therapeutic so your skin will look better than it ever has. It's made in Canada. Cruelty free.

Have you used mineral make-up?
Did it make your skin look better?Have you used mineral make-up?
I won't wear anything but mineral makeup. Contrary to the last post, they are not all expensive. I have been lucky enough to find a brand that offers pure quality minerals at a fraction of the cost of bare minerals and I like it so much better. :) It can really improve your skin as long as you use a brand that contains 100% pure mineralsHave you used mineral make-up?
Yes, and yes when applied correctly and in conjunction with the right products, like primer and concealer.
There are lots of brands of mineral makeup out there, but I personally use Everyday Minerals and I love it! It makes my skin look healthier and it's easy to apply.
Mineral makeup is more expensive than drug store makeup but usually not more costly than department store brands. I think it's well worth the expense.
Whatever brand you decide to try, DON'T fall for the gimmicks that drug store brands use - ';Made with (insert ingredient here)'; - because those ';mineral'; foundations are filled with junk that can clog your pores. I tried Cover Girl's and it had a sparkle to it, which looked really weird. I think a shimmer effect is what they were after, but...yeah.
Just be sure to choose the product you think is best for YOU.
Good luck!
Yes, I love it, and I won't switch back! It's GREAT for summer. Your skin feels light and never like you're wearing makeup. (For winter, I sometimes use a heaver foundation so my skin doesn't dry out, but I still use a light dusting of the mineral powder on top.) I For a over the counter drugstore brand, try Loreal's mineral foundation, and Neutrogena's mineral foundation (powder form) works well.
If you buy a drugstore brand, it helps to know who owns what. Major cosmetic companies actually own the smaller companies, so if you like an ';expensive'; brand, you can sometimes find a similar cheaper product. (Albeit, not the EXACT same quality as the higher end brand)
L'oreal owns:
Kérastase, L'Oréal Professionnel, L'Oréal Technique, Matrix, Redken, L'Oréal Paris, Garnier, Maybelline New York, The Body Shop, Diesel Perfumes, Giorgio Armani Parfums and Cosmetics, Kiehl's, Lancôme, Ralph Lauren, Shu Uemura, Dermablend,SkinCeuticals
Estee Lauder owns American Beauty, Aveda, Bobbi Brown, Bumble and bumble, Clinique, Donna Karan, Estée Lauder, Flirt!, Good Skin, Jo Malone, Lab Series, La Mer,MAC Cosmetics, Michael Kors, MISSONI, Origins, Prescriptives, Coach Fragrances
Before you go and splurge on an expensive product, take the time to compare it to a similar product from one of their sister brands:) It may just work for you.
I won't wear anything else. Not only does it provide excellent coverage, it wears well throughout the day and hasn't been harsh on my skin.
I WAS IN THE UNIFORM !
No...I hated it. It was terrible. The containers it came in were aweful, they left a mess every where and they were tiny and cheap. The makeup it self was not very pigmented, and not very lasting either. In the end I ended up being allergic to the stuff so I just stopped using it entirely.
I like the mineral bronzers never have used any liquid make -up .Cloggs pores to much.
YES YES YES.... I use AVON's mineral make-up. My skin looks better and feels better. I sell AVON and thought I would make the switch to mineral make-up and now I won't wear anything else. AVON's mineral make-up is not to pricey and is also on sale in this campaign... so why not check it out!! www.youravon.com/pauladiaz.. you can order on line and have it shipped directly to you!!!!! ENJOY!
no, but i will one day
Yes. I stopped having as many breakouts.
The Muse
I was given some for my birthday last month and love it (the brand is Laura Geller). I also bought some from Target (L'Orleal). Both kinds work very well and I am quite happy with them. I am 40 and my skin has become very picky. I also have a 14 year old with an acne problem and mineral makeup seems to be helping her alot (or at least keeping her from breaking out as badly). I am hooked and am off today infact to buy some mineral eye shadow and concealer.
i found that mineral makeup/foundation looks amazing on dry/normal skin for oily/combo its a definite no no. it cakes and streaks horribly. it does the same with a moisturizer on. it clings to the mositure areas (or oily areas) and looks bad.
i have, it makes your skin, a teensy weensy bit brighter, but the down side to mineral make up is that it is VERY expensive. try using normal make up that says 'made with some of the same ingredients as mineral make up'; you will save a whole lot of money. :) hope i helped.

Mineral make-up?
What is your opinion on make-ups like rawMinerals or bareMinerals? Are either worth it? Is there another mineral make-up you would suggest? Do they work as advertised? Are they good for people with sensitive skin that are prone to break outs? Anybody have any problems?Mineral make-up?
Try Sephora they have great mineral make up
I think it makes a Huge difMineral make-up?
LOVE mineral makeup! However, you need to buy from a reputable highly recommended site or brand because I have gotten some off the net that's like a powder from a makeup compact...ie, it didn't spread nicely %26amp; looked like chalk on my skin.
I am not familliar with raw minerals but I have used bare minerals/bare escentuals and sheer cover in the past. I didn't care for either as both contain bismuth, and ingredient that causes a lot of issues for those with acne and sensitive skin. They are also way overpriced.
I switched to kms mineral essentials a year ago. It is a pure cosmetic so it is great for those that have sensitive skin like myself. It has really exceeded my expectations as far as performance. I am thrilled with the results.
I use bare minerals and I love the coverage that it gives you. There is a starter kit that you purchase at e-bay. That's what I did and it was so much cheaper. It comes with 4 colors a CD to show you how to apply it. Its reversible in the way you can put in on.
I have been using Bare Minerals for about 3 years and I love it. I can sleep in it, if I forget to wash my face, and not worry about a break out. Anymore, I cannot stand the feeling of creme foundation because it feels so heavy and makes my face feel dirty, in comparison to the mineral makeup. It also covers just as well, if not better than, creme foundations and it is better for your skin.
I have found that origins skin care and makeup is the best. They have a booth at macy's here, but I'm sure you can find it online and they have stores. I have tried the cheap makeup and bare minerals, I honestly think this is the best. I have their face masks, foundation, concealer, eye liner, and shampoo. My skin has gotten so much better since I started using their products.
Try puritycosmetics,co,uk. It is really good!
I like bare minerals a lot, but I havent tried the others. I dont have to wear much at all without seeing a difference and its very easy to wash off. I like it a lot!
Arbonne International is a swiss based company that produces 100% botanical products that contain no artificial/toxic ingredients in their makeup or any of their products! Their mineral makeup is a leading brand that doesn't come off during daily activity and won't cause breakouts! It actually has beneficial ingredients that are wonderful for reducing fine lines, reduces enlarged pores and creates flawless skin! You will absolutely love it!! Their skincare line is unbeatable as well! I'm happy to give you more information and can get these for you at 35% off the retail price! you can email me at mandy_118@hotmail.com

I am a big fan of kms mineral essentials. I used to use bare minerals but it is very expensive! I get the same results with kms for much less. :)
I dont know about spending almost 100.00 bucks on bareminerals but loreal has out a new minearl makeup and i love it. It covers well and lasts all day! Cheaper to =]
good luck
Bare minerals has bismuth oxychloride in it, which makes a lot of ppl itch, inlcluding me. I think its in sheer cover too.
I tried tons of samples from all over and I like LA Minerals the best. I use the HOllywood foundation the most. Great coverage, and stays on really good. I swim in it and it stays on.
Mineral makeup is great for ppl with sensitive skin, at least the natural kind. The store brands are full of chemicals, so watch out! Read the labels.
LA Minerals has samples for like $1 and ship em free.

MINERAL make up?
so i asked a question about foundation recently and someone suggest mineral make up, i've been hearing things about mineral make up but i need a good coverage....can a powder REALLY cover well enough? i think i have uneven skin tone, and i am sceptical about a powder being able to solve my problems after using cream/liquid foundations for such a long time. thanks! xMINERAL make up?
I love mineral makeup, specifically, kms mineral essentials! It covers much better than bare minerals did for me and it costs much less too.MINERAL make up?
I love Mineral Foundation.
I don't like the ''cakey'' look.
But I like a natural look.
My Favorite Mineral Foundation is :
M路A路C Mineralize SPF 15 Foundation (Loose).
It stays on throughout the whole day and it's also buildable without looking all ''cakey''.
Good Luck! =)
Mineral makeup can cover as well as you would like because the coverage is buildable. You buff it in until you get the best coverage. I have also found that the type of brush you use makes a huge difference. I have been using a flat brush and have been getting great coverage with it. My skintone is uneven as well and I get the best results when using the concealer underneath the foundation. I use kms mineral essentials. It is fabulous! Mineral makeup is different to get used to at first, but after a little practice with it, you won't go back to regular foundation
it works really well!! get bare minerals. it is really good for your skin and it is AMAZING.
I just tried Maybelline's liquid mineral foundation and it's great. It covers well, blends easily, and is lightweight.
mineral make up... doesn't work if you won't a heavy coverage. You need a cream foundation for that. so if you want a heavy coverage then don't go with it.
i have a mineral make up, i put the over the top of my cream foundation it seems to do the job for me still leaves me a natural look. but i suggest if you do, do that (put the mineral foundation over the top) then dont get a heavy coverage cream/liquid foundation get a medium/light that should do the job. Hope all goes well.
Goodluck .
if you need good coverage a spray foundation (like MAC studio mist foundation) would work a lot better.
mineral makeup is light and sheer, which gives less coverage so it looks more natural.

Mineral Make-Up Help?! Easy Points -- Opinions needed.?
I am looking into getting new make-up and a friend of mine told me I should look into mineral make-ups.
The two main ones that I have heard of are Bare Minerals and Sheer Coverage.
I want to know which people rather over the other, and if there is another mineral make-up that someone else uses and likes better.
Thanks for the help!Mineral Make-Up Help?! Easy Points -- Opinions needed.?
I just got Mary Kay mineral makeup for Christmas. I LOVE IT! My husband bought me some other stuff and the sales rep gave him the mineral makeup for me to try. Coverage is silky smooth. The only thing is I that it is messy.
It comes with an applicator brush. It is short bristled and relatively stiff for control. I put it on right over my moisturizer after it has soaked in for a minute or so.
I haven't tried those brands but so far, I'm loving my Mary Kay. I bet the ones you're considering would be similar and you would enjoy it just as well.Mineral Make-Up Help?! Easy Points -- Opinions needed.?
Bare minerals !!! hands down
i LOVE bare minerals with a huge passion
its real easy to find your shade
it never feels caked on
you can sleep in it and it won't clog you pores
it has WONDERFUL coverage it might blow your mind
and it overall is a great foundation

Because it contains no fillers or powders, it doesn鈥檛 show up fine lines and guarantees to make you complexion look natural and fresh allowing your skin to breathe and remain firmly in place throughout the day.
Which is better mineral make up? L.A. Minerals or Raw Minerals?
How do they compare to one another, these two brands of mineral makeup?Which is better mineral make up? L.A. Minerals or Raw Minerals?
You should get samples of both and try them for yourself! Everyone's skin is different. I can't use anything with bismuth oxychloride in it, makes me itch. Does that to a lot of ppl.
Bismuth is in bare minerals, raw minerals, sheer minerals, Arboones, Avons, and tons of others.
So...I like LA Minerals better. Plus it's cheaper. And their Hollywood formula with the veil looks natural and makes your skin look smooth and perfect!
Get some samples, they are only like $1 in a baggie or $2 in a jar and they ship em free.
You might be able to get a sample of raw minerals on ebay or something. I hate that autoshipment crud though. LA doesn't do that.
Which is better mineral make up? L.A. Minerals or Raw Minerals?
I haven't used either, but I use Mineral Perfect and love it!
Bare Minerals is MUCH better than those two. I use it and love it.

Zinc Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, Mica, Iron Oxides
Zinc Oxide is known for its healing properties in problem skin such as rosacea and acne, it has the ability to stay on even while sweating and swimming, as well as offers protection from the sun's harmful UV rays. Companies use Bismuth Oxychloride in their cosmetics because it is cheap to buy and is an inexpensive filler. It does have binding qualities, so the makeup will ';stick'; to your skin, so to speak. There are other products that are just as effective at adhesion, and are better for your skin. Because of its molecular make up, it is often viewed as shiny or pearlescent. If you use a brand with bismuth oxychloride you'll notice a shiny look after applying the makeup. Not like oiliness, but almost shimmery. That's the bismuth oxychloride.
Bismuth Oxychloride is a very heavy element, which makes it difficult for many people to wear. It has to be forced into the pores (hence the buffing technique) otherwise it is capable of sliding off the wearer's face. The heaviness can result in clogged pores or irritated skin. Bismuth oxychloride often feels silky and not rough when rubbed between the fingers. Mineral makeup companies that do not use it have a lighter feeling makeup that usually blends into the skin better and with less effort.
Its molecular makeup is a crystalline shape, which may be a cause of the itchiness some women get when they wear it. Many women experience noticeable itching when they sweat. Don't forget it is also kin to arsenic, chemically. Your body will reject things it does not like, and if you'll get sick from ingesting arsenic, it would make sense that your skin would get irritated from having arsenic forced into it.Mineral make up whats best?

What is the best mineral make-up?
I was thinking about buying mineral make-up this weekend.. and I'm not sure which kind to buy. I have acne and oily skin.. and I'm looking for something that will hide my acne without making it worse. Thanks :)What is the best mineral make-up?
Hi, I've used several brands of mineral makeup in the past 9 months. I have oily skin w/acne too. I have several favorite brands: Lumiere Cosmetics, J. Lynne, Everyday Minerals, and Silk Naturals.
I don't know if they're the ';best'; but I favor them the most because they fit my needs. I've been lurking on makeuptalk.com's forum and I've noticed that a great number of people like Monave. I see more good reviews on Monave than any other mineral makeup brand. From what I've read, Monave's foundation has full coverage yet doesn't give that ';heavy'; finish. It's got a light, creamy finish. And it shouldn't make your acne worse since it's REAL mineral makeup unlike the stuff you find at drugstores and most chain stores.
Unfortunately, Monave's products are pricey. So I'd suggest that you try Everyday Minerals first. I really like them because they have good products for a very reasonable price. They have four foundation formulas to choose from. I like the ';Intensive'; (heavy coverage) and ';Matte'; foundation formulas. Their blushes and new synthetic brushes are very nice too. Everyday minerals makeup is also REAL mineral makeup. They also offer a FREE Sample Kit in which you can pick out three foundations, one blush/bronzer and one concealer (you have to pay shipping and handling though). Good deal right?
Hope that helps. If you want more information, you should check out the forums at makeuptalk.comWhat is the best mineral make-up?

Is mineral make up worth the extra money?!?
My regular make up is almost gone and im thinking of trying the mineral stuff. I have mild acne and Im wondering...
1. Does it work well if you have acne (help it go away?)?
2. Is it worth the extra money?
3. What brand is the best?
4. is it more ';green'; to use? (enviromental wise)
5. Anything else let me know : )Is mineral make up worth the extra money?!?
1. No it does not help it goes away but it does not clog your pores, meaning that it won't aggravate the acne.
2. Yes, because it looks so natural and is healthier. It won't make your acne worse and whenever I wear it most people cannot tell that I have on makeup (unless of course they knew me before I started wearing the foundation everyday).
3. Bare Minerals. Very natural looking and great coverage.
4. Eh....no idea.
5. If you have oily face use some type of powder on top. Also use a primer because without it, the mineral makeup won't last long.Is mineral make up worth the extra money?!?
1.) I don't think it will hurt or help acne, but if you get a scrub or cleanser that might help
2.) It depends if you are really into make-up and use it a lot, if so than probably because it is better for your skin and doesn't look as cakey but instead your skin glows
3.) I think glo-minerals is good
4.) I think it isirrelevantt but research may help; some brands may be more eco-friendly than others so research first the brand you are looking for!
5.) Good luck and maybe if you are still not sure you can buy mineral make up for one thing (blush, foundation, eye makeup) to try it out and see how you like it. There is also more of a variety with mineral make up and if you go to professionals they match up what looks best really well.
Not really sure what I would recommend to you. Its difficult to pick so what I end up doing is starting with the less expensive and trying out a few different ones.I would check out the review site at http://www.brandsmakeup.com visit and look around at the reviews.

What mineral make up do you prefer to use?
maybelline - no matter what claims the expensive brands make, maybelline works just as well, if not better, and is soooooo much less expensive!!What mineral make up do you prefer to use?
I do not like drusgtore brands at all. Actually most of the big brands Bare Escentuals, Revlon, Sheer Cover, Loreal etc... all use an ingredient called Bismuth Oxychloride this has a very high allergy rating, I found out after my face started itching like crazy after using them and I broke out in tiny pimples, I found out after googling the ingredients that there is a huge amount of people who break out and also itch from this ingredient. I love mineral makeup though as it looked so much better on and had less fillers, someone on yahoo answers told me about a brand called Faerie Organic Minerals, I tried their free sample kit and I love it! I don't itch anymore and I love how it looks so natural and leaves a healthy glow. It is the best I have used. They also have free samples so you can't beat that. There samples are here........http://www.faerieorganic.com/catalog/i51鈥?/a>What mineral make up do you prefer to use?
loving revlon at the moment
Elizebeth Arden's one is great!
I agree with nature_g...I have tried Bare Minerals in the past but it also contains Bismuth, so now I use KMS mineral make up and I absolutely love it.

Is mineral make up costlier than normal one?
If you are talking about makeup found at CVS or Rite Aid then they are only a few dollars more (2-3) than regular makeup since everything is way overpriced these days anyway. Makeup from speciality brands, stores are obviously much more expensive. Is mineral make up costlier than normal one?
It depends what brand you decide to get. Everyone is getting into mineral makeup. I tried it and it just doesnt' work as well for me. But there is Bare Minerals and Sheer Cover (in my opinion is the best) which are more expensive brands. Maybelline I hear has a really good mineral makeup. Also online you can go to Everyday Minerals and you can actually get free samples to try before you buy and you only pay for the shipping which is like $3. And the makeup is cheaper anyway but works well. I buy liquid foundation for $35 and my powder for $30 just because it is the best I have ever used (Make Up For Ever Mat Velvt + and Duo Mat Powder). In regards to cost it also depends on how long the product lasts. I went through my mineral makep relatively quickly where as my liquid and powder lasts a few months +.Is mineral make up costlier than normal one?
If you want a good, high quality mineral makeup than yes, it would be more expensive than lower quality products. For example, bare minerals, extremely good coverage but also organic materials is 10 notches better than something you would get from covergirl.
it just depends on the brand...most of the time it is more expensive because its hypoallergenic and smoothens ur skin...look for the neutrogena brands of minerals as far as i kno they aren't very costly
depends where you shop. Go to superdrug- its about the same - depends about brand %26amp; stuff.
Depends
some are
but some are around the same price
YES.Always

Make up / mineral foundation that is water resistant??
I am going on a holiday to Cairns in December and I cannot wear full on make up everyday due to the fact that we'll be in the pool and at the beach all day. But, I want something to put on that'll give me a clear complexion - something like mineral foundation. I want something that will make me look like I am wearing a bit of make up, but something that won't fade or get blotchy in the water. I also have fairly sensitive skin. ANY SUGGESTIONS?Make up / mineral foundation that is water resistant??

You can use a MAC Fix spray to make it last longer and make it more resistant ... it won't be waterproof though. Kryolan makes a spray that will make it waterproof but you will have to order if it from a professional makeup store.eyebrows liner

Which mineral make-up brand is better..?
I'm trying to choose between Susan Posnick and Glominerals pressed mineral powders/foundations. Can't decide. SP has higher SPF protection but GM presumably is purer (though their list of ingredients goes on and on..) If someone has tried both of them, please advise which one is better/ healthier/with better coverage/long-lasting/etc

What brand of mineral make-up...?
actually covers your skin the same as regular make-up - I've tried mineral make-up before, but it doesn't have that good of coverage. What brand of mineral make-up...?
Mineral Makeup is not going to cover like liquid makeup ever. It's too light. I've heard of people applying mineral makeup wet though to give a similar effect. Check out this video for a tutorial:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMV9Kw38b鈥?/a>
Also, I see a lot of posters recommended bare minerals. It's really expensive, and not worth it! They use fillers that can irritate your skin. I use everyday minerals (http://www.everydayminerals.com/). You should try the sample kit. You only have to pay shipping (around $3.70), and you get a ton! It's really nice pure makeup, and it comes in a ton of colors. What brand of mineral make-up...?
o.k. mica is used in these products and mica causes acne to worsen. Report Abuse
If youre in Australia, Musq is a great brand you can buy on line. They can mail you a small pack of about 8 colour samples for $12 for you to try.
It doesnt contain bismyth oxide which most other brands do. This mineral is used as a filler, basically so they use less of the expensive minerals. It has ruined heaps of ppls skin as it is very irritating. Basically people use the stuff and nothing happens for months then suddenly BAM, they develop this severe allergy and break out with acne. But this doesnt happen that often but often enough. Natural or mineral doesnt always mean good.
Basically any mineral make up that needs to be buffed on over time contains this horrible ingredient. A good quality mineral make up should be able to be applied very easily without any pressure. And because it doesnt have this colourless filler, you can get a better coverage.
Hope this helps.
almost everybody gets sucked into the ';its mineral, so its good for your skin..'; trap. don't buy it. Neutrogena is full of fillers.... Bare Minerals has hidden chemicals that irritate the skin... Sheer Cover makes your face look orange.... and most of the others have either hidden chemical or fillers...
Try www.faerieorganic.com , she gives you the backround and everything. plus, it soothes the skin, and helps heal it while wearing make-up. it is a little pricey more than most, but it is worth it... your skin will love you!!
p.s. they offer a free sample kit: just pay 5.99 for shipping...
just go to the website, and scroll down til you see it!!!
the bee luscious stick foundation is a mineral foundation with full coverage. do a google search for bee luscious.
I use Bare Minerals, even thougth it doesn't last through out the day. May Kay makes good mineral makeup as well. To me, it matches better.
I use Bare Minerials, but Ive heard Mary Kay is alot better. And less expensive. But Bare Minerials has really good concealer.Hope this helps!

I use Mary Kay. Sometimes if I need really good cover up, I'll have to put two layers on.

I do! I use Bare Minerals by Bare Escentuals, and I love it! It took some getting used to after using cream or liquid, but I have been using it the past couple of years and it feels so light and does a great job to even out my skin tone!Do you use mineral make-up?

I use GLOminerals
I have a pressed powder as well as a loose powder, I apply it with a sponge when I need more coverage and with a brush when I don't need alot.
A good tip though to make your mineral makeup look natural and feel fresh is to get a water spray (alot of brands make them, evian makes a water spray in a little bottle...) and spritz it lightly over your face after your done applying all your makeup.
I have been using l'oreal's mineral foundation for over 2 years and it works better than the rest.it's not perfect, but it works. No makeup is GREAT for you skin and all of it needs to be washed off at the end of the day/night.even bare essentials is bad for you and i'm not paying that much for foundation.I might try physician's formula when i run out because i need a change from what i have been using and it's cheaper than l'oreal's.
I use Shear-Cover(I have no clue how to spell it) it works wonders I tell you! Although it is a little expensive it's worth it. Its atually like good for my skin and blends right in. Other makeup sometimes cause my breakouts and acne but shear-cover never has. I love it!
Try puritycosmetics.co.uk. It is really good!
The Kabuki brush
renebug
i use bare minerals. but i only wear makeup once my tan has faded or for a really special occasion in the summer time. its the best but i still hate makeup
i use menirals only

What chemicals make up most minerals? and what mineral makes sand grains?
Geologists don't talk about chemicals, we talk about elements and compounds.
The most common elements in the earth's crust, and therefore most minerals, are silicon and oxygen.
Sand grains are usually quartz and feldspar. What chemicals make up most minerals? and what mineral makes sand grains?
first question is silica. Silica is the largest in the Earth.
Second one, sand grains are, specially, quarz (SiO4). Also, limestone eroded makes up grains.

Mineral make up foundation?
Bare minerals, everyday minerals, Wei East Flawless by Nature Herbal Foundation. These are the mineral foundation powders that are all the rave. I already use bare minerals and have been for about two years but don't like that after a few hours it gets cakey if you sweat for some reason it makes your face itch and it sets into wrinkles. Has anyone used any of the other ones and are they better than bare minerals? I just want a light weight make up that won't clog pores and that won't get cakey. Mineral make up foundation?
bare minerals have an ingredient that is cheap called bismuth. Bismuth is a metal, and the metals cling to your skin, giving you that ';shimmery'; look. But that look doesn't last long if you are athletic, or after a few hours, it looks cakey for me too. I also have that itchy feeling too! Probably because we are sensitive to metals. They aren't lying when they say that it is all natural, because metal is natural, is it not? I would suggest you just eat better, drink a lot of water, and be healthy, so you can have healthy clean skin. I naturally have red, itchy, pimply skin, but when I eat well, and drink A lot of water, my skin is really clear, as it is right now. Drinking a lot of water and eating healthy can also bring a lot of color into your face. I got a compliment just yesterday on my clear skin, but trust me, if I didn't eat well and drink a lot of water, my skin would look all nasty and pimply and red and blotchy. Bare minerals aren't as bare as you think. They can legally call it bare, but I never found any mineral powder 100 dollars or 10 dollars to be all that great as they say. It doesn't even cover up blemishes like they say. :P Mineral make up foundation?
I would go to http://www.thebodyshop-usa.com/bodyshop/鈥?/a>

Mineral Make-up?
I've seen this advertised on T.V. and now some of the major cosmetic companies are offering their own versions of this make-up. I hate to waste money since I've only used more traditional foundation, powder and blush. I'd like your opinion?Mineral Make-up?
I love the concept of mineral makeup, however, with so many brands out there with their own versions, there are a lot of products that are not truly pure mineral based, but have fillers and ingredients that do nothing for your skin. I have found the brands available at your local drugstore have some minerals in them, but don't perform the same as they also have other ingredients in them as well.
I have tried Sheer Cover and Bare Minerals, and after while could not wear them because they both contain Bismuth, and ingredient that a lot of people with acne and sensitive skin cannot tolerate. I found out later that bismuth is a natural form of arsenic lead. No wonder I was itching!
I switched to kms mineral essentials which is comparable to bare minerals without the bismuth. It is important to me what I put on my skin and this mineral line is one of the pure mineral cosmetics out there. I get amazing coverage with kms, and my skin has never looked better.Mineral Make-up?
I know some People like It and Some People Do Not.If I was you Though I would Invest in Just a cheaper Mineral foundation first to see if you even like the way it goes on and feels on your skin. Also Makeupally.com has reviews on Make up including a lot of the other mineral make up brands on the market.
Honestly, the best money ive ever spent.
if you dont want to order, get over to your nearest Sephora (if near you) and get Bare Minerals (thats what I use.. I assume the two brands are similiar enough)... try it out there if you like. Its so amazing I swear it really is magic, and there is NOOO cakeyness, no shine, nothing. and it stays on, you cant even feel it on your skin. Plus its GOOD for your skin
I love mineral makeup! It offers excellent coverage. I bought mine on Ebay. You can get starter kits for great prices on Ebay. Its best to try the sample sizes first before investing alot of money. No sense in wasting money if you decide you don't like the products!
I never buy anything from tv but alllllmost picked up the phone to call and buy it (so convincing!) I'd be interested in whatever responses people have to this. :)
I personally did not like it. Now it could have just been the brand...Bare Minerals, but I found it to have a greasy look. Not like the natural glowing skin you want to have. And it did not cover my blemishes. I have blemishes, and I have very fair skin so it is hard for me to find foundation to cover and yet not turn me orange, but I had the same problems with this product too. I ended up sending it back and got my money back, minus S/H.
My suggestion... many name brands in the stores like walmart, kmart, target, etc. are now selling their own line of mineral make up. Like Loreal, Revlon, Maybeline etc. Go to a Rite Aid store if you have one in your area. They will give you a complete refund on any make up you buy if your not happy with it, even after you open and begin to use it. Just keep your reciept or you will be S.O.L. Check with the sales clerk to see how long you have to return the item. Good Luck!
bare minerals is REALLY GOOD!
ive used it for almost 2 years now and it works WONDERS
the best thing to do now is to buy the starter kit because it comes with 3 brushes that add up to like 60 bucks and it's really a good deal cause the kit is only like 65 or 70 in sephora or if you actually go to the bare minerals store or get it online. it's so great it hides all blemishes and pimples and it makes your skin look extraordinarily smooth. and i believe that if you get it from the actual store and you for some reason dontlikeit you can still return it
are you talking about bare minerals? i first tried it before i heard it advertised on tv and i love it. it was the first mineral powder foundation i've tried but i absolutely love and would pick it over the traditional foundation. it's so light, it doesn't even feel like you're wearing makeup but it provides good coverage.
i recently tried this other brand called addiction which is mineral and its a liquid that turns powder. the only problem is that i've only been able to find this brand and one particular store in huntington, which is quite a drive for me.
anyway, mineral is better. i definately recommend trying it.
I use Bare Escentuals. I'm 17 %26amp; I've been using it for about two years now. I love it. :)
its suppose to b quitre good

Physicians forumla mineral make-up.. help?
I have acne prone skin, and wear a lot of make-up during the day. I am considering changing all my make-up to Physicains Formula mineral make-up. As i have heard it will be better for my skin. Has any one used it before, if so how is it?Physicians forumla mineral make-up.. help?
I have the whole line of the physicians formula minerals. I hate it. It doesn't cover well at all. It also gets shinny after a while, and I have dry skin which is odd. The only thing I like about the line is the mineral eye shadow. If you do decide to get P.F. mineral makeup, make sure you go by what the packaging says( Fair, Light, or Medium) not the color it looks like in the package because it comes out darker on the skin. I would suggest trying L'Oreal mineral makeup. From reviews I've read, its the closet drug store equivalent to bare minerals. Hope that helps. Good Luck!Physicians forumla mineral make-up.. help?
its amazing..better than mac!
It's not a bad product. I use to work in a health and beauty store. Depending on wether you want a powder or a liquid. Wear a moisturiser underneath. Please use the right moisturiser for you skin. Go to a place that sells the product and ask for a sample. It sounds like you have oily skin. Use products that help to reduce the oiliness. That's all I can tell you
i havent use it but my friends did.
and it worked on them.
it gets rid of the pimples and stuff.
I tried their eyeshadow once. It was ok, it didn't irritate my skin, but the color wasn't as crisp as I thought it would be.
I tried the grey eyeshadow.
I love phyisicians Formula. I have used their bronzer, blush, and several eyeshadows. They are great
I just bought it and I really like it alot. I bought the liquid minerals foundation in buff biege. I bought the classic ivory color and it was too light so I returened it. It is talc free and covers very well!! If you dont like it you can reutrn it. But I think its ones of the best foundations out there. Good Luck!!
I've used some of their powders and they're ok, but they're expensive and they still have ingredients that can be irritating to your skin. There aren't very many choices for colors. Plus, they look chalky on me, and I don't even have dry skin.
I would recommend Everyday Minerals because their foundations have tons of color choices and their foundations look really natural. Plus, they're not very expensive and they only have four ingredients, so they won't bother your skin. You can order a free sample kit from their website.

Hi i want to know abt mineral make up?
is mineral make up good for the skin?i'm not that fair in complexion but my skin looks good and is very soft...mine is a combination skin(oily and dry)...plz suggest any good products for me....i'm using dove firming cream now...i want to become fair also ...help me .....thanku so muchHi i want to know abt mineral make up?
I use and love bare minerals make-up. I get it off the Sephora website. Mineral make-up is very good for the skin as it has no fillers like talc and being a powder is not all heavy and goopy. It has a natural SPF and has a line of foundation colors as well as blushes and very beautiful eyeshadows. If you get the starter kit you get like 2 shades of foundation the mineral veil, warmth(better then a bronzer), a skin rev-er-uper, a instructional dvd, and 3 applicator brushes. It really is the best way to go in the beggining because the cost of the kit is cheaper then buying just the 3 brushes. I have used the product for years and love the mineral veil which makes me look all airbrushed and flawless.Hi i want to know abt mineral make up?
the best mineral make up by far is mineral I.D. i use there facial powder and blush, but for eyeshadows i LOVE true colors by estey international... i have been using them both for years... and i love them they are light but very beautiful colors!
try Arbonne products! they are formulated in switzerland and by far the best you will ever use!www.antiagingskin.myarbonne.co
Afterglow Cosmetics is made of raw materials which are organic minerals that contain iron oxides that will not irritate your skin. If you already have great skin, this product will give your complexion a healthy glow. As far as moisturizers, anything that is made of natural ingredients is always best.
Best mineral make-up?
so far i have used bare essentuals and arbonne's mineral make-ups....anyone use any others that worked well? i have found that they are difficult to blend and am looking for one that blends easy. thanks for any advice!Best mineral make-up?
So far, I have tried BE, Jane Iredale, Everyday Minerals, Glo Minerals, Youngblood, Philosophy, Physician Formula, Loreal and many more. Make the long story short, the best one was Everyday Minerals. It is the purest and does not contain elements like Bismuth that causes itching and irritation. Also, it is easy to apply EM. Use very little of the minerals with a blush and you are all set. Try everydayminerals.com. The company sends samples for free.Best mineral make-up?
some mineral m/u contains bismuth like kat said. check out, http://www.naturalproductsmarketplace.com/articles/7ba1feat3.html and http://www.webmd.com/skin-beauty/features/the-lowdown-on-mineral-makeup. http://www.becomenatural.com/blog/2007/08/the-truth-about-mineral-makeup/ Report Abuse
Bare Minerals is a great mineral cosmetic line. they have many shades and the make up is great
THE ONE YOU HAVE IS GREAT
bare minerals is amazing. its light and doesnt rub off. its soo good for your skin that if you go to sleep at night and forgot to take it off it wont cause acne or damage your pores because its actually good for you. it comes already matched to your skin tone and they have great shimmers and blushes. not too pricey either.
bare minerals is the best makeup you can find?!!!!!!!

Bare Minerals aka Bare Essentials is the best. If you are having trouble blending it, maybe you are applying to much or have the wrong shade.
I found that to be drying and didnt cover well still looking for the perfect make-up but dont want to go broke doing it...
Bare Minerals
I use Bare Minerals and it works great, so I don't understand why you aren't as thrilled about it as I am. Make sure you are using the special little brush they sell and to conclude whether you are applying it correctly, click below:

This link is a ';how to'; video that features the founder teaching how to put on Bare Minerals. Good luck!!
I use sheer cover. I like that one! It took some getting used to, but seems to blend ok once you do trial and error.
I didn't like either of these and haven't really been impressed with mineral makeups. I would recommend a good liquid or liquid-to-powder foundation. Just because it has minerals doesn't make it any better for you...petroleum jelly is a mineral too!
neutrogena makes a good one, its convienent and only about 12 bucks...

Does anyone like the mineral make, up does it cover well?
For the past 2 years, I have worn nothing else but bare minerals. It is well worth the price. It looks natural and it doesn't cause skin to get oily just like liquid makeup can. I think it's fabulous! You should definitely give it a try.
My Fashion Blog: http://la-fashion-a-la-mode.blogspot.comDoes anyone like the mineral make, up does it cover well?
i am a longtime bare minerals user. it is the absolute best make-up i've found in many years. it covers well, stays on all day long (even in texas heat %26amp; humidity, while working 12 hour shifts), looks %26amp; feels completely natural, and is actually good for the skin - it is the only brand recommended by the national skincancer foundation. try it out for yourself at any ulta, sephora, macy's, or nordstrom store, to see, how you like it, before making a decision. the starter kit costs 60.00, it lasts 2-3 months. the full size 25.00 foundation %26amp; 19.00 mineral veil last me about one year.Does anyone like the mineral make, up does it cover well?
I just started using mineral make up and I think it works really well. It never made me break out and it gives your skin a little sparkle. I'd say that it covers very nicely.
It covers all right I would say a light to medium light ... I need a heavier foundation now with my rosacea so I go for a heavier coverage liquid. If you don't have much to cover, try it out.
I used it for about 2 years - Bare Minerals. I thought it looked good. But, when I switched to MAC, everyone couldn't stop raving about how much better I looked. Now, when I put Bare Minerals back on for kicks, I now notice that it emphasizes my pores and it did fade about 3 hours after I put it on (Houston humidity). Buy it someplace like Ulta where they have a return policy if you don't like it. That way, you don't waste your money.eyebrows liner

Bare Minerals makeup is a bit pricey. Good alternative mineral make up?
One that is a bit cheaper but still works well?Bare Minerals makeup is a bit pricey. Good alternative mineral make up?
I think you are better off with Bare Minerals. Sheer Cover is relatively inexpensive and just as good. Are you talking about Neutrigina? I love that brand so they probably make good stuff too.Bare Minerals makeup is a bit pricey. Good alternative mineral make up?
Physicians Formula. I've been using it for a few weeks and noticed a difference right away. It was about $10 or $11 at Target.
Make sure it's ';Talc-Free';. It's a lot better for your skin. Apply with a big brush, the brush it comes with is very small.
Bare Naturale by L'Oreal is supposed to be a good alternative.
I asked the same question not too long ago, I was told to try Physicians Formula. It works awesome!! Buy the kind that's says talc free. I've found the $$ ones have this in them and make my face appear shiney. I love the powder foundation, and the bronzer. Get it! Get it a Walgreens or Walmart, runs about 10 bucks.
physicians formula is awesome

Sheer cover mineral makeup is like a cheaper version of bare minerals
I personally think that Bare Minerals is worth the money. It lasts a long time (both in the jar and on your face) and it is natural. I have tried some of the ones that have come out recently (high end and low end) and still go back to Bare Escentuals. If you are going to spend money on one makeup item - it should definitely be on your foundation.
Good luck!! :)
Everyday Minerals is great.

For 32.00 you can buy the most awesome mineral liquid powder foundation made by Bee Luscious Cosmetics, the best thing is that it does last so the price is not as bad. Mine so far is going on 6 months .....

aromaleigh.com has good mineral makeups if you don't have dark skin. i also use physician's formula from the drugstore but the colors aren't as good.
