Mineral make up what is so great about it?

I am thinking of buying some but don't want to waste my money so any one who has used it would like some pros and cons on mineral makeup. Thanks so muchMineral make up what is so great about it?

Mainstream cosmetics- foundations etc...liquid, cream, powder etc.


All contain countless amounts of chemicals, petrol products etc...





Whatever you apply on the skin can be absorbed into the body. Nicotine and birth control patches work in this way. We do not know the long trem results from applying these ';chemicals'; daily that are absorbed into our skin. Cancer is on the rise and 1 out of 4 will get cancer. It is becoming an epidemic and many cancers are surfacing where they cannot trace the cause. Paraben preservatives in cosmetics are however being linked to cancer and especially breast cancer, when they remove the tumor they find paraben preservatives in it.





The point is these synthetic products that are in our cosmetics are far worse than anything you'd ever expect. Even in familiar and trusted brands, we simply don't know what we are really using. Did you know a ';gentle'; eye makeup remover contains chemicals also found in anti-freeze, pesticide, toilet bowl cleaner, furniture stripper, tire cleaner, and gas treatments? That face creams that promise to regenerate the skin contain chemicals also used in battery cleaner, color safe bleach, pine sol, concrete primer and metal polish.





This is really gross and this is where mineral makeup comes in. Not all companies offer safe mineral makeup free of chemicals and fillers. Drugstore brands like Loreal, Maybelline, Revlon etc still use irritants, chemicals, preservtaives and fillers.

It's basically personal preference. Some choose it because they prefer all natural products, others because it provides a much lesser chance of irritation since there are so few ingredients, offers different kind of coverage. It can still cause breakouts, because cosmetic breakouts tend to occur due to your skin's reaction to the ingredients in the makeup. Some don't like it because it seems more messy. But it really just depends on how you feel about it and how it reacts with your skin.
