Is MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural considered mineral make up?

So far I love this powder! But I began to get curious if it's even mineral make up that's better for your skin.... and I found the ingredients....

Mineralize Skinfinish:

Talc, Nylon-12, Dimethicone, Polysorbate 20, Isopropyl Palmitate, Jojoba Seed Oil, Yeast Extract, Tocopheryl Actetate, Retinyl Plamitate, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Magnesium Aluminium Silicate, BHT, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben, Butylparaben

MSF may contain:

Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides, Bismuth Oxychloride, Blue 1 Lake, Carmine, Chromium Hydroxide Green, Chromium Oxide Greens, Ferric Ferrocyanide, Manganese Violet, Ultramarines, Yellow 5 Lake

These are not the ingredients I want to see in my ';mineralized'; make up..Is MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural considered mineral make up?
i was wondering that myself.i went to their make-up counter with my bf and i was considering buying it but i really wanted it to be minerals,so i asked the make-up artist and she told me that it was actually real mineral makeup,i also asked if it was -mainly- or only partly minerals and she said it was mainly minerals.but personally i would go with Clinique's Almost Powder Makeup SPF 15.it is deff. minerals and gives u moisture.just great. Is MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural considered mineral make up?
Most of the ingredients you listed ARE Minerals. TALC is a mineral. Why does everyone think its bad for you?? Dimethicone is a mineral. Tocopheryl Acetate is VITAMIN E. You need to learn how to read a label before you pass judgement on whether ingredients are bad for you or not. Google them. Report Abuse

Another thing to note is the fact that a product only has to contain a certain percentage of minerals to be considered a ';mineral'; makeup on the us market. There is no such thing as an 100% Mineral makeup. If that was the case we could all go digging, grind up rocks (minerals), and apply them. Report Abuse
