What is the best mineral make up?

i looking into mineral make up and im sure im going to get it but then i found out there differnt brands and i want your opinionWhat is the best mineral make up?
It truly does depend on skin type and concerns too.

If you have normal skin with no sensitivities (like no matter what traditional cosmetics you've tried, you never broke out, turned red, became itchy or irritated, etc..) then you can wear probably any brand of MMU out there from Abby St. Claire to Zosimos Botanicals (and the 200 or so brands in between; including: Anna Belina, id bareMinerals/BE, Colorescience, Jane Iredale, TRUE, RAWminerals, Naked Minerals, Sheer Cover, glo minerals, Milani, Revlon, Nutragena, etc..). Yet, if you are looking for sheer or heavy coverage, the list will get smaller. Then if are wanting no synthetic preservative (anything ending in ';paraben';, EDTA, Urea (female horse pee), etc..) then the list will go down even more. Etc..etc..etc...

If you have combination to oily skin, then you might want a formula with something added to help absorb or help control the oilies. Some gals love kaolin clay for absorbing oilies and find it to be the best thing that happened for them, while others, even oily gals may find Kaolin clay to cause their skin to produce even more oils to make up for the oils lost...or even some may be sensitive to the kaolin or other clays. Other ingredients that help with oils would be silk powder and pearl powder (but, if one is vegan, they may prefer not to use these products) which also help correct and normalize oils. There are also starches that can be helpful for controling oilies or at least keeping them at bay, like: zea mays - cornstarch, avena sativa - oat powder, oryza sativa - rice powder, arrowroot powder, or a blend of any mentioned, etc... Many women get breakouts with zea mays and arrowroot powder though and they might do better with a rice or oat powder...which both also have several other benefits for the skin.

If you have dry or mature skin, then you'll definitely need something to help your skin have some kind of barrier between your skin and the minerals in your makeup. Some ingredients to look for that are used for this purpose are vitamin E, squalane oil (olive derived), silk amino acids or silk powder, oryza sativa -rice powder, pearl powder, Evening Primrose oil, and other oils.

If you have sensitive skin (even along with any of the above), you'll want to find out what the culpret is. Some ingredients that cause reactions or irritations in many are bismuth oxychloride, talc, silicones or even silica (';cones';), FD%26amp;C or Lake dyes, perfumes/fragrance, certain essential oils (peppermint oil can be very drying), zea mays - cornstarch, alluminum starch, preservatives (';papabens';, EDTA, BHT, urea, grapefruit seed extract, etc..), kaolin and other clays, vitamin E, aloe vera, Alpha Hydroxy Acids, high amounts of titanium dioxide or zinc oxide (first or second ingredient on the list), etc... and the list can go on, especially if someone has a skin condition or disorder as well.

The very best advice I can give is to sample around, keep notes on your experience and look over ingredients.

A great company to start off with is Lumiere Mineral Cosmetics. They don't use ingredients that are widely known to cause irritants %26amp; they have several formulas available to choose from. Foundations: they have 5 (4 loose mineral foundation %26amp; 1 liquid mineral foundation) and 32 shades to select from, Finishing Powder/Veils: again they have 5 to choose from %26amp; 3 shade categories in 4 of them. They also have 4 different blush formulas to choose from and a large variety of colors. Eyecolors: they have 7 categories and have one of the largest selections in pigments. Not to mention their bronzers, all over face colors, radiances and lippies. lol They also have outstanding synthetic brushes...my favorite; as well as great skincare products. It truly is a one stop shopping experience for just about everything you'll need. The prices are wonderful and there are sampling options...you can either get samples individually or get a kit (under ';specials';) that includes 6 sample jars %26amp; a $5 off coupon toward your next order for only $9.

Other great companies to sample from can be located on my profile...and you can google them up. =) Everyday Minerals is a good one for very inexpensive and Jane Iredale is great for a more pricey option. I hope that helps some! =)What is the best mineral make up?
I use everyday minerals. It's the least expensive one that I've found. They'll even send you samples for free. You only pay the shipping (about $5). I tried it and loved it. And it doesn't make me break-out like my other makeup did. Makes your face clearer too!
I like LA Minerals the best. I use both the HOllywood and NoHoGlo foundations, their veil, and concealers, oh and the eyeshadows too!! OMG...I have almost all of their products!

THere's no bismuth or talc in theirs and its priced good. Plus you can order samples really cheap to get the right shade first.
bare esentuals is a good one. thats what i use.
physicains formula :)

i cant spell lol

but google it :)

its amazinggggg
Try puritycosmetic,co,uk. It is really good!
Bare Escentuals is very popular but I find it really messy as everything is in loose powder; the foundation, finishing powder, blusher, eyeshadows and you have to use the right brush in order to apply it well.

I have since tried Pur Minerals and really liked the foundation and mineral glow blusher. I find the powders are finer %26amp; they both come in compact form. All of their products are truly mineral. They have a website you can order from.
